He has a strong track record of managing donor-funded programs and driving measurable impact through innovative, community-centered approaches. As the Executive Director, Evans oversees organizational strategy, partnerships, and resource mobilization, while strengthening governance systems and institutional capacity. He works closely with government, development partners, and local stakeholders to promote collaboration, scale impact, and ensure sustainability of programs. Known for his collaborative leadership and results-driven approach, Evans has successfully guided programs that improved service delivery, strengthened community structures, and enhanced access to essential services for vulnerable and underserved populations. Joystella Etyang is the Finance and Administration Officer at Mennonite Development Services (MDS-Kenya), supporting the organization's financial and administrative operations. She is a finance professional with experience in financial management, project budgeting, donor reporting, compliance, and administration. She brings a strong focus on financial accountability and effective resource management. In her role at MDS-Kenya, Joystella supports budgeting and financial reporting, payroll processes, procurement, financial documentation, and compliance. She works closely with the programmes teams to ensure that project resources are well planned, properly managed, and aligned with organizational and donor requirements. Her areas of expertise include financial management, budgeting and reporting, donor compliance, financial systems, and administrative support. She is passionate about strengthening accountability and systems that enable organizations to effectively deliver their programmes and create sustainable impact in communities.

Martha Otieno is a Field Officer and Safeguarding Focal Person at MDS-Kenya, within the Kenya Mennonite Church – Siaya Diocese. She supports the implementation of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) interventions through community-based approaches that promote improved health outcomes for women and children. Her role includes providing supportive supervision to Community Health Promoters, coordinating health promotion outreaches and advocacy activities, and conducting household visits to strengthen uptake of key health practices. She also supports project monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and the preparation of timely and accurate reports. As the Safeguarding Focal Person for MDS-Kenya, Martha ensures compliance with safeguarding standards, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and child protection policies across all project activities. She promotes safe, inclusive programming by strengthening awareness, accountability, and adherence to safeguarding protocols among staff, partners, and communities. She has a strong background in health project programming and implementation, complemented by training in counselling psychology, which enhances her ability to support community wellbeing and psychosocial needs within project contexts. Martha is driven by a strong commitment to improving everyday realities within communities, with a focus on practical, locally led solutions that strengthen health, safety, and resilience among women and children.

Christine Anyango Odhiambo serves as the Treasurer of Mennonite Development Services (MDS-Kenya), bringing extensive experience in information management, administration, and church leadership. She has a long-standing career with the Kenya Medical Research Institute, where she has served in senior information and library roles, supporting knowledge management and institutional systems. In addition to her professional experience, Christine is an ordained church minister, demonstrating strong values in service, leadership, and community engagement. As Treasurer, she provides oversight on financial governance and accountability, supporting the organization’s integrity and sustainability.

Mourine Juma Owiti is a Project Officer at Mennonite Development Services (MDS-Kenya), where she oversees the implementation of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Project. The project focuses on improving health outcomes and strengthening the economic resilience of pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under five through an integrated approach that combines maternal and child health best practices, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Savings and Internal Lending Communities (SILC), and safeguarding. In her role, Mourine ensures effective delivery of all the project components in line with project plans, donor expectations, and organizational objectives. She provides supportive supervision to field officers, engages key MCH stakeholders, and ensures the preparation of accurate and timely project reports. With over 10 years of experience in community development, Mourine has successfully led donor-funded health projects to completion, contributing to measurable improvements in health outcomes among vulnerable and underserved populations. Her expertise includes project safe programming and implementation, concept and proposal development, donor reporting, stakeholder engagement, and project monitoring and evaluation. Mourine is passionate about empowering communities and advancing sustainable improvements in the health and wellbeing of women, children, and their families. She is committed to community-centered approaches, strong partnerships, accountability, and integrated programming as drivers of lasting impact.

Allan Oduor Juma is a Field Officer at MDS-Kenya, supporting the Maternal and Child Health Project within the Kenya Mennonite Church – Siaya Diocese. He is a seasoned Community Development and Social Impact professional with 19 years of experience in community development and over seven years of specialized experience integrating Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH) with livelihoods and economic empowerment programming. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development, and a Certificate in Social Development. Allan’s work focuses on addressing socioeconomic barriers that limit access to essential health services, particularly among pregnant and lactating mothers. He supports the implementation of integrated Maternal and Child Health and livelihoods interventions through Savings and Internal Lending Communities (SILC), strengthening household resilience, improving health-seeking behaviour, and enhancing access to essential services. In his role, he provides supportive supervision to Community Health Promoters and Private Service Providers (PSPs), conducts targeted household visits for follow-up, monitoring, and behaviour change support, and undertakes periodic visits to health facilities. He also coordinates engagement meetings with Sub-County Health Management Teams (SCHMT) and other Maternal and Child Health stakeholders, while ensuring timely and accurate project monitoring and reporting. His approach is grounded in the understanding that improved health outcomes are closely linked to household economic capacity. Through integrated programming, he supports women, families, and communities to build sustainable livelihoods, strengthen resilience, and progress toward self-reliance and improved wellbeing. Allan’s areas of expertise include health programming, livelihoods and economic empowerment, and health systems strengthening. He also brings strong competencies in project design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, documentation of impact stories, partnership development, leadership development, advocacy, and facilitation skills.
